Snow Days and Surgery

Well the past 2 weeks the kids have gone to school 5 days and been out 5 days. 3 days have been snow days, 1 day holiday and 1 day teacher in service. They've had lots of fun in the snow. During the 1st storm, Andrew and his friend Donya, who lives next door shoveled a couple driveways in the neighborhood. They had to shovel them twice due to all the snow that kept coming. Jakob has made 2 igloos. One of them was shown on the 10 o'clock news. LiLi has had fun playing in the snow and sledding. She really likes the sled that I pull her in, but with such thick snow it's been hard pulling her. I've only tipped her over a couple times :)

After a lot of research and discussion, we've decided to go to Dallas for LiLi's surgery. It's long story, but we've talked to this surgeon and are very comfortable with him doing the surgery. He is probably the most experienced in the US. The only problem is that he's not in our insurance network. The surgery is scheduled for Feburary 28th. Just please pray the surgeon and insurance will be able to work out the charges prior to surgery.

Andrew has been playing basketball and it's been really fun watching him improve each week.

Here are some pics. Kraig's parents came down a couple weeks ago the celebrate Christmas with us and they gave Jakob a fire pit. He loves it.
