LID

We just got an e-mail this morning that our Log In Date is 5/7/10. Our dossier is now logged in and ready to be processed in China. The LID came in 1 week, which is a week earlier than what I had thought. The process is speeding up in China. Our next step will be our final letter of approval (LOA). I had planned on that taking 50-60 days, but lately it's only been taking 35-45 days. So, we could get that mid-June and then our travel approval (TA) mid-July. We can pretty much travel anytime after TA. So, it's possible we can travel in August.

We turned in the boys' passport applications on Saturday at the post office. There was little excitement while we were there. About 5 police cars and the bomb squad pulled up while we were waiting in line. We were told that someone called in about a suspicious package being left ontop of the collection box outside. They told us we'd have to stay in the building for about an hour. That was fine with us because we figured the passport line was about an hour long. The package ended up being nothing and they were letting people out of the building right before we finished up with the passports.

After we get the passports back then we all need to get VISAs. It's still hard to believe this is all happening.

DTC

Last week was quite a week. As of Friday we are DTC (Dossier to China). All our paperwork that we've been working on the past couple of months is finally on its way to China. It's so good to have it all done and out of our house. Here's a picture of everything we sent.

I was gone all week at a 'Family Ministry' conference. While I was there Kraig sent me a picture of him and A. To my surprise he had shaved their head. AHHHH. I was not expecting that. I guess K wanted to do it to see what he looked like, then A wanted to join his dad. A thinks he's pretty cool. He loves all the attention.

K took my car in for a tuhe-up and also because the front end wasn't riding smoothly. Well, $900 later it riding smoothly. It was very upsetting, because that's almost a plane ticket to China. I know that God is in control, so he will provide.
