Birthday Party

Through a 3rd party, we sent Chun Li a cake a doll and some candy for her birthday. The agency didn't think the orphanage would send us photos, but they did! Here are some of them. I think she liked the cake.

Papers everywhere

Paperwork for international adoption is so overwhelming. We've had to get information to send from KS, MO, NE, FL, & OH. It all has to be notarized, certified by the Secretary of State and then sent to the consulate. Right now most of our paperwork is in Chicago at the consulate and some is in Washington, DC. I'm praying none of it gets lost and FedEx can get it all back to me. Then I'll send it to our agency and then on to China. I'm just waiting on the KC immigration office to get me that last piece I need. I thought it would come today, but maybe tomorrow.... Then the wait begins for final approval.

Well, we finally have something that put us over the edge to start a blog. We have been pre-approved to adopt a precious 2 year old girl from China. Praise God! We will be adding to this blog slowly but surely to give you all the details about the adoption and just about our life in general. It should be a fun ride!
